Earth Sized Planet Orbiting Our Nearest Star

Exciting news, a planet the size of Earth has been found orbiting around Alpha Centauri. This is our nearest star system found about 4.3 light years away. Unfortunately, the planet is closer than Mercury is to our Sun with surface temperatures about 1,500 degrees Celsius. Although, as you can read here, there is a theory that Mercury is probably our best chance of a human colony amongst the planets of our Solar System. So who knows it may be habitable and with three stars in the Alpha Centauri star system the sky would be incredible. We just need to get there now.
