Celestron Nexstar 102 SLT Review



If you are looking for a beginner's telescope the Celestron Nexstar 102 SLT is a good choice. This refractor telescope was given a highly commended 91% by the Sky at Night Magazine in a test of six beginner telescopes.

It is a bit pricey but comes with a computerised mount containing a database of 4,000 objects to discover. It is portable and easy to put together which are so important for a beginner's telescope (See 5 Things you Need to Know Before Buying a Beginner's Astronomy Telescope). The optics are very good for a beginner scope and it comes with a red dot finderscope.
